Edison wants a thriving market for solar energy

To the editor: Your editorial states that a rebalancing of the costs in order to create a fairer system for all customers associated with net energy metering in California is “necessary.” We fully agree.

We also agree with your analysis of the issues faced by the California Public Utilities Commission — that proposals seeking virtually no change “just aren't realistic” and that the need for action is critical.

We do, however, disagree with the piece casting Southern California Edison's proposal as “turning out the lights on solar.”
